Historic properties were constructed with skills and knowledge that have faded over the decades. Proper maintenance and repair of these properties requires tradespeople who have studied these lost arts and are dedicated to retaining as much of the historic fabric and operation as possible. The staff of Heritage Window Restoration represents a knowledge base that includes academic study of materials conservation and the practical application gained by years of experience in the field.
HWR has worked with homeowners, governmental agencies, local historic societies, large general contractors, and architects on a variety of projects, which have provided experience in a wide array of situations. We draw upon this experience to properly plan our projects and ensure that the restoration process runs smoothly to come in one time and within budget.
Having successfully completed dozens of projects funded by grants from the National Park Service, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the State of Colorado's Department of Local Affairs, or History Colorado's State Historical Fund, HWR's staff can help building owners and architects develop a scope of work to ensure a project's success from design to construction.
